Korea…I have an odd relationship with Korea…I can’t put my finger on it quite yet!
I am fast-approaching the big 10 month mark…March 26th…and I really thought by now I’d have it all figured out. But if anything…this place I currently call home has only clouded my mind, my thoughts and my being. The clarity I was hoping/seeking has yet to make its grand appearance…so I wait…patiently…somedays…impatiently… My daily life moves at such bullet-speed that even if clarity wanted to show-up, even for a mere moment…I’d zoom right by without a second glance! I need to SLOW down!!! It’s so easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of this life…to fill your days and more damaging – yourself - with mindless activities and the whole “we’re in this together” so we should do “EVERYTHING” together mentality!! I love people…(generally…and those I don’t..well..they know!) – but I am honestly sick and tired of insignificant relationships. In my almost 10 months here, I have made some good, real, honest and SIGNIFICANT relationships…but majority would fall into the “insignificant” or “you’re fun to hang out with” category. As I’ve come to this realization, I want to move forward from here with the cliche but very fitting saying “quality over quantity”..
